OIR to Revise Property Claims Litigation Data Call
The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation has proposed revisions to rule 69O-171.011, now referred to as the Property Claims Lifecycle Data Call. OIR intends to adopt the changes effective January 1, 2026.
The updated form adopts reporting fields for information such as the firm of a plaintiff’s attorney, the jurisdiction of each case filed, and the case number. The template also includes particularly challenging fields for information about the “initial invoice/demand from public adjuster” and “final paid amount to public adjuster by insurer.” These fields have uncertain application considering that insurers do not have direct obligations to public adjusters and Florida’s largest insurer, Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, announced earlier this year that it will no longer include public adjusters on payments.
