Associated Industries of Florida and other groups, such as the National Federation of Independent Business, released the proposal after a pair of Florida Supreme Court rulings last year helped lead to a 14.5 percent workers’ comp insurance rate increase. The Supreme Court ruled, in part, that a law strictly limiting attorney fees was unconstitutional.
Business group proposes workers’ comp changes
Business groups released a proposal Tuesday they said will reduce workers’ compensation insurance rates by revamping a state law on fees paid to injured workers’ attorneys.
