Hurricane insurance: Open your eyes before disaster
Randolph and Edith Geslani had good news recently about their spacious home on the Caloosahatchee River in Fort Myers Shores.
The physician and his wife have seen their insurance rates fluctuate over the years on the home they’ve owned since early 1990s. Although they’ve filed no claims, the price of insuring the home, which is assessed at $550,000, often went up. Now they’ll be paying a few thousand dollars less to insure it.
