Nominations Made for Two Florida Public Service Commission Spots

On August 28, 2014, the Public Service Commission Nominating Council (Nominating Council) met to interview the “most qualified” applicants and to nominate candidates for appointment by the Governor for the two vacancies that will occur on the Florida Public Service Commission when the four-year terms of Commissioners Eduardo Balbis and Julie Brown expire in January 2015. Those nominated to the Governor were: Julie Brown, David Murzin, Stuart Pollins, Jimmy Patronis, Jerry Fernandez, Patrick Sheehan, and Kevin Wiehle.

The nominations were sent to the Governor on September 2, 2014.  The Governor has 30 days after receipt of the nominations to make the appointments.
