Radey Lawyers Speak to FSU Insurance Law Class
Firm shareholders Donna Blanton and Travis Miller recently were guest lecturers at the Florida State University College of Law’s Insurance Law and Regulation class. The class is taught by Ricky Polston, Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court. Justice Polston asked Donna Blanton to speak to the class on the topic of “Insurance Law from an Administrative Law Perspective.” Donna and Travis combined to educate the FSU law students about the application of Florida administrative law to various aspects of the insurance industry. Class members asked a series of insightful questions at the end, including questions about the impact of the Affordable Care Act on state regulation and budget issues and about legislative proposals for Citizens Property Insurance Corporation.
Donna and Travis are both board certified by the Florida Bar in State and Federal Government and Administrative Practice. Donna regularly represents insurers and other industry participants in administrative rulemaking, administrative litigation and government procurement. Travis assists companies in regulatory and transactional matters including licensing, financial oversight, compliance, acquisitions and product development.
