OIR Names New Deputy Commissioner for Life and Health Insurance
The Office of Insurance Regulation has named Michelle Robleto as its new Deputy Insurance Commissioner for Life and Health Insurance. “Michelle Robleto is a consummate professional with an outstanding reputation in the health insurance industry, and as a public servant for the State of Florida,” remarked Commissioner Kevin McCarty. “I am confident she will be a strong addition to our team who will provide the leadership we need to navigate difficult issues in the life and health insurance marketplace.”
Ms. Robleto replaces Mary Beth Senkewicz who is leaving the Office to pursue other opportunities. She most recently served as the Director of the Division of State Group Insurance for the Florida Department of Management Services. She also has served as the executive director of the Florida Comprehensive Health Association (FCHA) from 2001 to 2007, as Special Assistant to the Executive Director of the Florida Residential Property and Casualty Joint Underwriting Association (predecessor to Citizens Property Insurance Corporation), and as a Director in various positions with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware.
Ms. Robleto takes on this new role beginning October 31.
