PIP Working Group Resumes Analysis

The PIP Working Group convened by Insurance Consumer Advocate Robin Westcott resumes its consideration of the complex issues affecting the Florida market at an October 10, 2011 workshop.  This workshop is part of a series of meetings scheduled by the Consumer Advocate to bring PIP stakeholders together.  She intends for the process to culminate in a documented analysis of PIP issues, which should be available in November.

The next workshop is slated to consider Independent Medical Examinations and an examination of access to emergency services and care.  After these presentations, the working group will discuss critical issues such as the PIP fee schedule and the merits of a No-Fault system as compared to a tot system.

The agenda for the next meeting may be found here.
