Karen Asher-Cohen Discusses License Fronting Issues at Life Settlements Conference
Shareholder Karen Asher-Cohen was the moderator of a panel discussing the issue of license fronting at the 2011 Life Settlements Conference that took place in Las Vegas, Nevada during September 22-23, 2011. The topic, entitled “License Fronting: Is this Practice Fair or Foul?”, examined the practice of “renting” out a provider’s license to an unlicensed provider and whether this violated state insurance department laws.
