TALLAHASSEE — The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will continue an evidentiary hearing on Florida Power & Light Company’s (FPL) request for a rate increase on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 and on Thursday, September 17, 2009, if necessary. The hearing allows FPL and the intervenors to present sworn testimony and exhibits in support of their positions. The hearing was originally scheduled for nine days and began on August 24, 2009. Due to the extensive testimony and cross-examination process, the hearing requires more time than initially scheduled.
The additional hearing dates are set for the following time and location:

9:30 a.m.
Betty Easley Conference Center
Joseph P. Cresse Hearing Room (Room 148)
