Wednesday morning Florida’s Public Service Commission held a workshop to talk about what they are doing to get prepared and what they are still concerned about.

Experts at Colorado State University predict this season will probably produce seven hurricanes making an "above average" hurricane season.

No matter what the prediction,… companies like Florida Municipal Electric Utilities prepare for the worst.

Jody Finklea with Florida Municipal Electric Utilities says, "If a hurricane were going to hit Tallahassee they could get poles wires employees trucks from other parts of the state that are unaffected by the storm.
We prepare for the worst and hope for the best…"

CSU’s storm prediction report also says there is a 63 percent chance that at least one major hurricane will make landfall in the United States.

Hurricane season starts June first.
