Emergency Adjuster Licensing

The Department of Financial Services has activated the emergency adjuster application in response to the impending landfall of Tropical Storm or Hurricane Fay.

The application may be accessed by insurance companies or independent adjusting firms via MyProfile at www.myfloridacfo.com/agents. Simply select either the “Emergency Adjuster” or the “Appointing Entity” tab and login with the appropriate information. The link to the application will appear on the right side of your screen.

These applications are to be submitted by the company or independent adjusting firm that is requesting to use the emergency adjuster. Prospective emergency adjusters CANNOT submit the applications for themselves.

Emergency adjusters may begin work prior to licensure as long as the application has been submitted to the Department within 7 days of when the adjuster begins work. As a reminder, emergency adjuster licenses may only be used for adjusting disaster related claims and are valid for 180 days from issuance.

If you have any questions regarding emergency adjuster licensing, please contact the Bureau of Licensing at (850) 413-3137.
