For over 20 years Ed has been a complex commercial litigator with extensive experience in administrative tribunals and federal and state courts. Ed focuses his practice in four main areas: government procurement, administrative law/regulatory, and complex commercial litigation (including arbitrations), and appeals.

With significant experience across a wide variety of industries in government procurement, Ed advises clients in all aspects of public procurements from responses to bid solicitations, to bid protests, to performance of public contracts – at the state and local government levels.  In his regulatory practice, he regularly advises clients on significant issues affecting their businesses. Those matters often include licensing issues, rule challenges, rule variances, and declaratory statement petitions.  Between his government procurement and administrative/regulatory practices, Ed has appeared in over 100 matters at the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings.

His complex commercial litigation practice includes commercial disputes through-out Florida involving, contract law, business torts, and construction law in state and federal courts.  Lastly, Ed has been counsel in over 60 appellate cases in Florida and federal appellate courts arising from his government procurement, administrative/regulatory, and commercial litigation practices.

Ed is also an arbitrator both within and without the American Arbitration Association.  He has served as the neutral in matters involving loans, factoring contracts, and construction disputes.

Early in his career, he practiced complex commercial litigation at the Orlando and Miami offices of some of the country’s largest law firms.  In 2005, he relocated his practice from Miami to Tallahassee to be at the heart of Florida’s state government. From Tallahassee, Ed serves clients from the Panhandle to Miami, and all places in between.

Ed was born and raised Miami, Florida. He and his wife have two young daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid FSU sports fan.
