Hilary Porter practices in the areas of administrative law, government procurement and bid protests, and labor and employment law. She received her B.A. in International Studies and Anthropology from Texas A&M University in 2014, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 2017, she received her M.A. in Arts and Culture from Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She received her J.D. from the Florida State University College of Law in 2024, graduating Cum Laude where she earned a Book Award for the highest grade in six courses and served as an editor of the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law. Hilary has previous experience working internationally as a safety, regulatory and compliance officer for a global shipping company headquartered in The Netherlands. Her responsibilities included managing the company’s safety management system and overseeing corporate adherence to the industry’s regulations. Additionally, she led the company’s emergency management and response team, and routinely conducted internal onboard audits of the company’s vessels. Hilary’s experience gives her a unique perspective on the opportunities and challenges that companies face when doing business in a heavily regulated field.
