Senate panel reviews Heritage deal; Simmons frets over ‘appearance of impropriety’
Officials from state-run Citizens Property Insurance Corp., the Office of Insurance Regulation and Heritage Property and Casualty Insurance Co. on Tuesday defended a deal struck this summer that could have funneled $52 million to Heritage for taking on up to 50,000 Citizens policies.
