QBE hammered by US regulator for “excessive” rates
According to reports in Fairfax Media, Florida’s Office of Insurance Regulation has rejected an offer by QBE to cut lender-placed insurance rates by around 2%. Instead, commissioner Kevin McCarty demanded QBE cut rates by at least 35%.
