  • Defended insurance carriers in class action proceedings in both state and federal court, including OneBeacon Insurance and the Florida Windstorm Underwriting Association.
  • Assisted numerous clients in regulatory matters involving many state agencies including the Agency for Health Care Administration, the Office of Insurance Regulation, the Department of Education, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and the Department of Health.
  • Represented insurance companies such as the United States Fidelity and Guarantee Co. and Citizens Property Insurance Corp. in rate and form filing disputes with the Office of Insurance Regulation.
  • Represented private and public entity clients in bid protests and other disputes over some of the largest public contracts in Florida, including contracts relating to the Lottery’s on-line gaming system, the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT), the Medicaid Management Information System and the Florida Online Recipient Integrated Data Access System. Entities represented in these proceedings include Harcourt Educational Measurement, Electronic Data Systems, the Florida Lottery, General Electric and the Department of Children and Family Services.
  • Assisted clients in responding to government investigations and administrative complaints by the Florida Attorney General, the Office of Insurance Regulation, the Department of Defense and the Department of Justice.
  • Represented hospitals and other health care providers on numerous regulatory matters involving licensure, certificates of need, Medicare, Medicaid and physician privilege issues. Health care entities represented include West Florida Regional Medical Center, Tallahassee Community Hospital, Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, Liberty Medical Supply and Home Care Supply.
