Nominations Made For Florida Public Service Commission

On August 17, 2017, the Florida Public Service Commission Nominating Council met and selected nominees to be sent to the Governor for appointment to the Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC).

The nominees for the current vacancy created by the resignation of Commissioner Jimmy Patronis (who was appointed by the Governor to serve as Florida’s Chief Financial Officer) are:  William H. Conrad, former Mayor of Newberry, Florida; Erik L. Sayler, Associate Public Counsel; Theodore Schrader, Executive Director of Winter Haven Citrus Growers Association and former Pasco County Commissioner; Richard Glorioso, former Florida House of Representatives member; Gary F. Clark, Deputy Secretary, Land and Recreation, Florida Department of Environmental Protection; and David Richard Workman, former Florida House of Representatives member.

The nominees for the two vacancies on the FPSC that will be created when the terms of two current commissioners, Commissioner Ronald A. Brisé and Commissioner Arthur L. Graham, expire in January 2018 are:  Ronald A. Brisé; Arthur L. Graham; William H. Conrad; Anibal L. Tobias, executive consultant for Strategic Leadership and Risk Management; and Jody Ann Newman, retired Assistant Director for Orange County Public Schools.

The Governor has until September 17, 2017, to make the appointments to the FPSC from the lists of applicants.
