Florida Public Radio Interviews Christopher Lunny

Radey Law Firm shareholder Christopher Lunny appeared in a newscast of Florida Public Radio on July 9th to discuss employers’ initiatives to confront the rising cost of health care in Florida.  In particular, reporter Ryan Benk questioned Christopher Lunny about the City of Tallahassee’s proposal to refuse to hire applicants that have used tobacco in the past year.  City Commissioner Scott Maddox drew attention to the cost saving measure when he asked the City’s budget office to explore a prohibition on hiring smokers as a way to bridge a $5 million dollar budget shortfall expected for next year.  A full text and audio file from the newscast can be found here: http://news.wfsu.org/post/tallahassee-city-commissioner-smokers-need-not-apply
